I’ve purchased quite a few jewellery pieces from pierced universe and haven’t been disappointed! I really like this 8mm black PVD titanium horseshoe ring. I typically buy anodized titanium as I have very sensitive piercing sites, but I wanted to try black jewellery and figured I may as well know if PVD is compatible with me. So far I’m not having any issues with it, I’ve had it in for about 15 hours and there’s been no itching or discomfort so I’m feeling hopeful! I will note, the black PVD has a different feel to it than anodized titanium. There’s a slight tacky quality to the metal, which makes me feel like it might scratch/ show wear a bit more than a non-PVD coated piece. However I don’t think that’s a quality issue, I think it’s just a consequence of the material. Overall I would recommend this piece! Seems to be good quality for the price point, and pierced universe consistently shows good customer service. I’ll make an edit or update if I notice any wear/ sensitivity issues come up in regard to the PVD coating! :)

Great jewelry. I had irritation due to the stainless steel jewelry that it was pierced with. I decided to order titanium septum jewelry to see if that would help and it did after 2 days! I’m glad I found a solution to my problem! The only issue is that I lost a ball in 2 days so now I have to purchase a new ball.
