Darker Roast

If you like a darker roast, this is a lovely tasting coffee. The smell from having sat in a whiskey barrel is going to be stronger than the taste. If you prefer a more balanced experience, pair it with bourbon-vanilla sweet cream; it's like drinking Irish coffee without the overpowering alcohol. The sweetness of the cream balances the bitterness of the darker roast.
