Love that I can quickly zip them on and off, as conditions change. Typically wear a chinook base layer and fjällräven pants for bear and deer. The M5 pants live in my pack for when the bad weather rolls in. Paired with a M7 jacket and supplemental mid layers. This combo is perfect for the cold mixed conditions I hunt in and they performed great on my recent spring grizzly hunt in AK.

I had a time deciding between the M5 and M7. In my climate, the M5s made more sense for use throughout the year as opposed to only colder times. These did not disappoint. Definitely tough enough and even in the winter they serve as a 100% wind block. Only had them for a couple of rainy weather events but I stayed dry. I did size up too large to have enough room for them to fit over my hunting pants.
