I have been using the VMC marabou hair jigs these past few years and have found them to be absolute big brook trout killers. My nephew and I have taken a remote fly-in fishing trip these past 2 years, along with a very experienced group of 8-10 other anglers. While they were using flyrods, worms, and spinners, we used these VMC marabou jigs. We not only caught far more brookies with spinning gear and these jigs, but we also caught the largest ones. All catch and release. We’ve already stocked up for our next brook trout adventure. If you’ve never tried jig fishing for big trout, consider giving them a try. You just might be pleasantly surprised.
