2.5# of fruit on a small tree in the second summer
Strongly recommended! I planted my Carmine Jewel last April in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I didn’t let it fruit the first year, in order to let it focus its energy on its roots, but based on the number of green cherries, I’m sure it would’ve been a great crop. It’s now June 30th of its second summer and I just finished harvesting the last of 2.5# of cherries. They’re more tart than sweet, extremely juicy, and truly gorgeous—bright red and luminous. Amazing that this small tree could bear a crop so abundant. It’s about 5’ tall, the perfect size for me to reach the fruits. I’m eager to see this tree provide fruits in the coming years, and to find new ways to eat them!

Sweet/Tart Treat
We had our first crop of cherries from our 2 year old tree this year. The cherries are small, but pack a lot of flavor! They are tart, without being acidic, followed by a mild sweetness. Looking forward to many years ahead!

Carmine Jewel cherry
Our shipment arrived couple of hours ago, was unpacked and they look great. They look healthy and buds are plump and waiting. Can’t wait to plant them and see them grow and eat the cherries 🍒.
