Oil Plus Part B

Great Finish. Wish All Sizes Used This Bottle

I really like Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, and this 100 mL bottle of Part B is the easiest version of the accelerator I’ve used. With this bottle, I can pour out what I need, wipe the opening clean, recap it, and store the rest for another project. That sounds simple, but it has been much harder with the Part B containers included in some of the larger kits. Accelerator gets around the flexible spout and cap, hardens there, and can make the container extremely difficult to reopen. The can shape also makes it annoying to get the last bit of product out. I even tried transferring Part B into disposable pouches and squeezing out the air, but it still hardened. Since the accelerator is moisture-sensitive, I’ve come to appreciate how important a simple, clean, well-sealed container is. I wish Rubio would use this same basic packaging idea for larger sizes: a regular screw cap, smooth opening, fewer places for product to collect, and a container that’s easy to empty. The finish itself is excellent. This bottle just makes it much more practical for people doing one project at a time.

The smoothness and protection of the wood is great! Worth it! For the small amounts get a syringe for measuring the proper 10:1 ratio. (CVS or woodworking store)

The finish is great. One thing follow the instructions it makes a difference. I ordered more.
