Sailor Manyo Kikyou - Ink Sample

A unique shade of dusty navy. No mistaking this for black. It’s a darker color but it has a softness to it.

An upscale navy

There's a lot to like about this ink. It's more interesting than your standard navy because it's warmer (not teal but throw more green in and you'd be there) and because it has a red component too. But that is why I opted to give this only 4 stars - the red aspect does limit this a little bit in how versatile it is. It looks good on most paper but is not quite as universally useable as my favorite inks. With that caveat in mind, this particular Manyo ink matches my limited experience with whole ink line - it flows generously. A Lovely Lovely Blue

Manyo Kikyou is a gorgeous navy blue-- my personal favorite so far! It has a muted stony-blue tone when applied lightly, and a rich shimmery-coppery sheen when applied heavily. The ink is wet, but not overly so-- overall pleasant to write with.
