They do their job in being visible in the dark but the lights on this brand are older versions and they're sometimes hit or miss on constantly hitting their break lighting. Don't get me wrong, they're really good and useful but sometimes on the auto light option, one light will continue to remain solid regardless of breaking while the other wouldn't activate at all. It's something easily fixed by turning off and on again which is tedious, but really useful at night when I just kept solid in crowded areas and flashing or on a lower intensity in quieter areas to conserve battery. I never doubted that these lights wouldn't be able to last multiple hour+ rides without me having to worry about charging them since I own a newer version on these lights on my bike. One thing I do recommend is getting the handle bars just for better ergonomics and simply being cleaner than holding the front trucks. The boards are relatively heavy to hold, especially for a long periods of time and, on a board like the g2 with the lights installed, they will scrape the lights when held at higher angles of attack because of the lower clearance if you try to walk with the motor trucks rolling. I'm 5'7 and walking with the bottom wheels on the ground is fine still but slightly lower than I'd like and, personally, its only a little tedious without the handle bars but i'd be a little annoyed if I had to do that for a longer stretches of time and between commutes if it was up to me.
