Outstanding service and product

I have purchased 100’s of poplar planks 9 1\4” x 23 7\8 and use every square inchs for my projects. About 5% of these boards had mechanical handling scars and had to be sent to other then intended projects. Some were a little cupped, some a little warped but nothing that can’t be fixed with a couple of tools (planer flatmaster ). I can usually get to my goal of flat 17mm board. So 95% fully satisfied and feel like a kid in a toy store when I go there. Selection, quality and outstanding service.

Beautiful wood….but not square or flat.

The lumber is beautiful, smooth, and I find myself using poplar for more projects lately. S4S lumber, by definition, should be square, flat, and ready to use in a project. That’s what we pay for. These particular pieces were not that, sadly, as all four boards needed extra planing and sanding to achieve the required flatness and edge squareness to the faces. I’ll continue to order from KJP, as for the most part, their lumber is top notch!
