Ghillie Blanket

Excellent bit of camo

I bought one and liked it so much I bought another. One has been modified to fit my floating hide with great results - the most skittish ducks are far more comfortable around it. My unmodified ghillie I use for general use and it is amazing as well - photographing small songbirds feeding on the ground from less than ten feet produces some really nice close ups and feather detail.

Game Changer

I have experimented with the ghillie blanket a couple of times - it is easy to carry and fast to deploy. For songbird photography I was able to lie very close to my subjects feeding on the ground to get some very nice portraits with a modest telephoto lens. I think this is a product that is very flexible and can used lying on the ground, sitting or standing. I am planning to add a second with some size modifications and added foliage to my floating hide to up its camouflage in the marsh.
