Doesn't take up too much room in the boot, so I can just get cleats that fit me and not worry about the socks being too thick. Thinness is also nice for maintaining feel on the ball. While they're thin, they're not flimsy. A little tight on my calves, but the compression is appreciated and they keep their shape. The grips work exceptionally well for preventing injuries like blisters and toenail jams, which is why I ended up switching to them from a much-loved sock.
