After my PA prescribed compression socks, I tried various recommended models. The zippered version proved too hard to put on because of joint stiffness in my hands. Your skid-resistant option pleased but requires a larger shoe than I normally wear and earned a caveat from my physical therapist, who doesn't want me to gimp around the house shoeless. The best compromise for me was standard-issue (i.e, no bells or whistles), and the least expensive (about $1.50 a pair), but I am concerned about durability and frequency of replacement. All types were effective and comfortable and I like the look of my calves, which no longer resemble Babar's, though they miss the Louis XIV ideal of svelteness.
