A little perfect coffee

The Yama 5 is my favourite coffee-maker; it’s not unwieldy like the Yama 8, but it reliably makes a few cups with the ‘clean' taste you can get with the siphon process (it helps to use a glass filter rod). On the other hand, this is probably the 4th Yama 5 I’ve owned; at least one of the breaks was completely my fault (left it empty on an element), but it’s just a fact that both the top and bottom are fragile. Try to wash them in a plastic tub, not a metal sink; don’t use them or keep them in a place where they can be easily knocked over.
