A Classy Flask in a Perfect Size
I love my new Dark & Tan Leather Flask! Leather looks classy, and the little level-window is very handy. Glass truly makes a difference, and with the opening being a little larger, you do get fuller flavour when drinking from the 240 ml Ragproper "Double Shot" Flask. I personally still keep to sweeter Bourbon when using a flask, as I find the flavor has better staying power with the reduced nose you get with a flask, but you might be able to get away with higher proofs than you could with a standard, metal flask with the smaller spout.
At 240 ml, you get just under 5.5 drinks (a standard "shot" is 1.5 oz.), which makes this a perfect size: It's big enough that running out is not a worry, and it's small enough not to be too conspicuous in most situations. I use mine to bring to the theatre or to gatherings with friends. I've read other reviews that considered this one too large to be inconspicuous, but I disagree. Perhaps I just have larger hands? Personally, I opted out of a set, as the smaller, "Single Shot" 100 ml size Ragproper offers just seems too small to be useful. At 100 ml, it only holds about 2 standard shots/drinks. If you're one who opts for 2 oz pours, you won't even get 2 drinks out of the "Single Shot". While this may be enough at a movie, it may leave me in want of one more, and at a longer gathering, forget it. With all that in mind, I highly recommend the Ragproper, 240 ml Double Shot Flask. I couldn't ask for one more perfect!
One final note on the silicone funnels that come with these flasks, they are extremely useful! Not only do they stay in place well, but the very fact of their silicone construction aids in preventing spillage along the neck of the flask as you pour. Finally, that little channel for letting the air out as you pour makes for the neatest filling experience I've ever had.
