That’s a knife! (add Australian accent)
This is a big blade and makes a great chopper! The 80crv2 carbon steel is tough stuff and it will take a real beating. I would recommend using a lighter weight wood with this blade. That way it maintains the weight forward balance that you want with a big chopping knife. I used American white ash so it would have good shock absorption and maximum strength for this large blade. These Lauri blades are pretty good and have had pretty consistent quality so far. In my opinion, you can’t beat Ragweedforge for service. I ordered a brass pommel nut by mistake and they went ahead and sent the nickel silver pommel nut, right along with the brass one that I originally ordered. That’s looking out for the customer and you just don’t find that much anymore.

Excellent Blades
Dependable blades, take and keep a good edge after much wear and abuse. Buy with confidence.
