Lauri Carving 95 Carbon Steel Blade with Ricasso

Simple Puukko Build

The Lauri 95 mm Puukko blade was perfect for my hiking and camping knife. See photos. I like a traditional cross draw sheath that fixes to my belt loop with a soft shackle. The tang is full length and is peened into a counter sunk 3/8” od by 1/8” brass spacer.

This is a nicely forged blade. I used jute and 550 cord to make a wrapped handle. I am pleased with the result. It’s straight, sharp, nicely ground and polished. Excellent
