Better than original

I have the older Canon XLH1 which has a stock mic in a standard holder. I order the SMX-10 to get better performance for my audio and it does that and more. The shock mount attaches easily and the mic snaps in and is very secure. The mount does an excellent job of isolating the mic and helping to reduce equipment sound and user contact sounds.
