Tea Plant (Green Tea) - Camellia sinensis

Plant arrived packaged very well and it looks nice and healthy. I will be a returning customer.

Died within a week.

I ordered three plants including this Tea Plant. I planted all three on the same day of the plant arrival, using a mixture of new garden soil, compost, and some slow release fertilizer pellets for acid loving plants. I also planted a few other plants from another online nursery that happened to arrive on the same day. All three plants from Wellspring nursery died within a week, with the leaves withering and eventually dropping. All other plants from the other online nursery are thriving. I'm in zone 9b/10a. These plants are supposed to do well in my zone. I have not had any failed transplants before. I can at least say that the plants from Wellspring nursery seem particularly fragile, and may need some very special transplantation methods to survive, in which case the nursery should have provided special transplant instructions for.

Received with healthy leaves and good packaging
