Our second one. Using the older one at a Family member home to shower when we visit. Still in great condition and will be used. A lot better than the shower bench in the motels!! Thank you for your service and helping us with this purchase.

Easy to assemble

I put this together and it fits well in our space, but my husband hasn’t been able to use it yet - waiting for his legs to get stronger so he can get up 2 single steps to his stairlift chair to get upstairs. Hopeful that will happen soon, with no further falls.

Success in our little bathroom

We have a house with small bathrooms and our shower has a 4" rim around the bottom (handicapped accessible but not wheelchair accessible) so our problem was how to get someone from mechanical lift into the shower when there was not room to turn the lift in any direction--straight into the room and straight back out required. The person being showered can sit independently but cannot scoot or slide as is required by most transfer benches. This longer sliding transfer bench gets him from outside the shower into the shower by sliding the chair along the tracks of the transfer bench. With this device we can use the lift to deposit him on the chair (without having to turn the lift once in the bathroom), then slide him into the shower. We had tried all kinds of ramps and transport devices to accomplish this so were thrilled when this extra long bench simplified showering. We've only used it a few times so don't know how it will hold up over time. . It is rated for hefty weight but I am curious if the long sliders will support 200+ pounds with repeated use. So far, so good!!
