I will start this review with: I have been growing Prudens Purple tomatoes from saving seeds for over 15 years, given to us by an amish neighbor. They grow huge I'm talking 1lb+, its sweet and not many seeds in this lovely tomato. Every single person we have given them to have raved about the taste.
The only tomato besides a cherry tomato plant, my husband ever wanted in our garden.
Last year my seed saving failed me and not a single Prudens purple plant grew. My heart sank and I wasn't sure what to do, besides to buy the normal kind we found and ate this year. They were good but they weren't Prudens Purple.
I found this company Hudson Valley seed company and they had our beloved Prudens Purple seeds. I plan to give these seeds to my husband as a gift, and I expect to see shear joy on his face, when he sees we will be planting his beloved tomato once again!! Expecting great things for 2023 in our garden!!
