Nice pictures, content is underwhelming and basic
For the price of this booklet, you get so much more bang for your buck with the other comfort measures book and the Preparing for birth book, I don't find this one justifiable or useful. The tips are incredibly simplistic. Ex: Breathing (large picture of a woman exhaling) with "Breathing Deep controlled breathing helps calm the mind and body. Support person: remind her to take slow deep breaths, if she needs guidance, breathe with her or count slowly while she breathes in and out" or "Heat: a heating pad applied to the lower back can provide comfort. Support Person: use gentle pressure (counterpressure) along with heat on her lower back while holding it in place". I feel like the verbiage is minimalistic yet redundant... a little more elaboration on technique would be better than the repetition. The page for Knees Chest position says "spend time in this position ONLY if you know that baby is not positioned well" which is actually counter to Spinning Babies which encourages that as part of the miles circuit regularly. I wonder what the evidence for only using in one instance comes from. I feel like this little book could be much more useful with a few more tips included, but as is, it isn't an asset to my clients (childbirth ed or doula).

Fantastic resource
I have started giving it to my clients as a resource for early labor. I've added a few notes to a couple of pages to match what we discuss in prenatals, but overall, it's prefect. Adding my own business sticker to it to "brand" it. LOVE!
