Prompted a sermon on love
The first time I saw this cartoon, it struck a chord in me. I thought about it repeatedly. When the lectionary brought up John 3:16, I used this imagery as an example of people building walls and drawing lines in the ground to keep other people out of God's family. But "God so loved *the world*." This picture sparked a sermon that brought about a lot of conversation, so I decided to purchase it and display it in my office. And now it can continue to spark conversation everytime someone sees it.

Love this cartoon!
Easy to purchase, download and use! This cartoon is out on the internet, but it's important to not abuse wonderful artists who share their gifts. Give them credit and some funding. We used it for a sermon illustration about breaking down divisions in our worship bulletin and on our screen.

The Best Sermon Illustration!
A picture is worth 1,000 words, right? I was preaching about God’s wide circle of love and our tendency to place conditions on it. “Eraser” was the final sermon slide after which the choir led us in singing “Draw the Circle Wide.” Thanks for helping make it a memorable day!
