Beautiful pewter design

My question is there doesn't seem to be any word on the quality of the glass material. I'm retired & a Veteran, and I would probably buy more, but I can 't afford your high prices, and still pay shipping. Are your prices high because of the pewter or inflation? Or maybe I just don't the cost of certain things, and with that, I apologize. I recently bought a stein for my Army vet boss, and hoped he like it. Thanks
