Rope had tied in splices.

This rope was fine and served its purpose for us as. We were able to use it as a walking line for a monkey bridge for our youth group. We noticed that the 3 core ropes that where twisted to make the larger rope where spliced with knots with the end of the knots frayed in several spots over the 200’ we ordered. Maybe this is normal but it was not expected. Tying knots in ropes can reduce the strength of a rope by 50% as stated on their website. This rope came with knots tied in the core! We dont remember reading in the description that it would come with knots tied in the core. It made us question whether the rope would be able to hold the weight requirement we had. Ultimately it held fine for our monkey bridge but the quality of the product we received was not what we expected.
