Lincoln Heavy Duty Leather Welding Jacket - K2989

Excellent customer service

Item arrived as described on website; I added items to my online shopping cart, paid for two day shipping on Tuesday morning, (I wanted to wear jacket first day of welding class) but because jacket K2989 was not immediately in warehouse, I received my item the following week, on Tuesday. I contacted customer service and voiced my disappointment…customer service waived the two-day shipping charge. The first jacket came with tags. Yet the jacket had a white residue -reminiscent of vigorous exercising and sweating in black sweatpants, then later while sorting laundry after said black sweatpants have dried the minerals or salt leaves heavy white streaks -this new leather welding jacket K2989 fresh out the bag had heavy white residue near/downstream of the armpits. Suspicious reasoning caused me to suspect the jacket was previously worn. I sent pictures of the new K2989 with residue. Again, excellent customer service filed a warranty claim with Lincoln electric…I was sent another K2989 next day air from Lincoln Electric. The white residue was 85% less than the first jacket. In retrospect, by research and experience, I believe the nature/material/manufacturing and packaging of the jacket creates the white residue, not prior wearing. I had previously purchased a grey and black 100%cotton Lincoln electric jacket in 3xl, I liked the fit, but this suede/leather K2989 3xl is noticeably Looser baggy-er fit; too much customer service engagement at this point to ask for a refund, maybe the professional cleaning process will cause the jackets to shrink and fit just right…in six weeks I’ll know.

As a bigger man with a chest size of around 52", I thought with the specifications it'd get it small. But boy was I wrong! It's the perfect size for me! Extremely airy, very rough yet flexible leather, and works like a charm! Highly recommend this to all welders.
