I have sewn the "past" dress for 18" and 16" dolls. I love the way the dresses fit and look on the dolls. The directions were clear and easy to follow.

Groovy Wrap Dress!

Machine sewn with a little hand stitching required. Yes, authentic for the era. Another 1970s-80s doll series had a similar pattern that was contemporary to the doll. This quick and easy to make dress is a great addition to her wardrobe. No buttons, snaps, or hook-and-loop to mess with or dress with, makes this easy to use for play. Leave it as is or fancy it up with ribbon or jewelry. Because it wraps on, I think this would be a wonderful outfit for use by children with certain disabilities to dress their doll in. I have only made the 16" version so far.
