I'm still about a month away from getting a surgery date, and I think that this plate is the perfect size. The material is good quality, someone in my home dropped it and it did not break. I really enjoy having the visual of all the little food groups on the plate too.

The bariatric portion plate is a big help with guiding the amount of food rather than eye balling. It is not for microwaves , so heat before or after so not to damage plate.
