A mixed bag

Erin is a talented artist and for the most part I was really happy with the image. Unfortunately communication was not good - I emailed after initially placing the order to say I wasn't sure about whether I wanted any text, and Erin replied quickly to say that she would show me the image before dispatch so I could decide. A month passed and there was no shipping update, so I got in touch to ask if there was an estimated dispatch date, and my order was then shipped before I had a chance to say whether I wanted any text adding or not. A Royal Mail tracking number was provided but unfortunately it just said that I would only receive an update when delivery was attempted. I did chase up with Erin but unfortunately received no response. Delivery took 10 days, despite the website saying that Royal Mail service is usually 3-5 days, and when it arrived I was initially thrilled - the artistry is really beautiful - but on closer look, my husband have been given what looks like an unfortunate bald patch and I have been given an what looks like a prominent overbite! I zoomed into the reference photo and neither of those were there. I wasn't bothered about slight differences - I know that a painting is not an exact copy of the photo - but these seemed particularly unflattering! If Erin had showed me the photo before dispatch, these things could've been changed. Unfortunately given the lack of communication and the amount of time it took to receive the image in the first place, I decided to leave it. I think it would be unfair to give the product less than 3 stars as it didn't arrive too much later after the estimated website times, and most of the image is really beautiful, but I was really hoping that communication would be better.
