New 10/22/25 Panama Elida roasted batch disappoints

I have been buying Panama Elida from Dragonfly for years. It has been our light-roast favorite with it’s pineapple fruit notes, with most other purchases being light-roast Ethiopeans. When Panama became available again October ‘25, we bought 5lbs. It arrived with the 10/22 batch beans looking significantly darker than all our other light roast beans, and coffee in Moccamaster tastes like the beans were over-roasted and the fruity flavor we expected baked out. Messaged Dragonfly if the roast profile has been changed but no response.

I think my problem is that my "eye opening" coffee was Dragonfly's 2013 Elida Natural roast (Yes, I have been purchasing from Dragonfly Roasters for that long), and nothing has ever came close to that roast that year. The coffee was lacking in the fruit flavors listed on the bag. There wasn't any depth in the cup. A very average cup. Not bad, but not good to great either.
