Whisker Massacre at Sundown

Out of the east, the sun crept over the horizon waking me from my imperfect fulfillment of death. I crawled out of my coffin and made my way to the wash house to remove the pogonotrophy that had occurred during during my slumber. Wetting my fine badger hair brush and developing a nice sudsy soap I applied it liberally to my whiskers. I then retrieved my trusty instrument of war from it’s resting place and attempted to saw last nights growth from my face. In doing so I immediately realized that my blade fop was less than fopish. I reached for a new piece of steel and was surprised to find that I was out. Worse yet the brand I normally use was sold out at my purveyor of choice, Mr. Pomade. With half my whiskers massacred I made a choice, a stab in the dark, and tried something new. A few days, and a full growth of scratchy, later the untried cutlass arrived. With much trepidation I loaded my weapon and once again began my previously failed attempt to remove the offending whiskers. Much to my surprise I found this new instrument of sharpness did it’s job even better than my preferred brand. Now to get some more before they are gone.
