Nilfisk and Tellus 32mm Rubber Muff Kit For GM80 and GA70 and GS80 Vacuum Cleaner Hoses

Going a Long Way for a small part: successfully!

The Rubber Muff Kit arrived surprisingly quickly, was easy to install, and now I have a useful hose again for the clean room at work! The old part had cracked completely in two, but removing the old parts from the hose and metal end was somewhat more difficult than I expected; the remaining rubber was still pretty much intact, and is apparently designed to be easy to assemble, but then stays together! Once the old part was removed, the new central rubber and two retaining collars were easy to put into place. I live in California, but was having a hard time finding this little part, to repair a Nilfisk hose. The Vacuum Doctor had it, and even with the shipping from Australia, it was worth it to me to get the part; the cost of a new hose assembly is considerably more! Once shipped, I watched the tracking online, and got worried when it got to Los Angeles, and seemed to get stuck. It appears that the tracking couldn't follow it after it landed in US Customs, but the part appeared at my home a few days later. It was a good experiment! I may get additional parts for my home Nilfisk!
