Same great classic game, substandard component design

I miss the older production design that uses a hard plastic board with slots and stackable cones that fit into those slots. This new production uses a soft rollable mat and blocky wooden pieces and I found it more finicky than I expected. The pieces are easily bumped out of place on the board and the stacked blocks aren't as stable as stacked cones. The mat does roll up to save some space but the game box is inefficiently 80% the same size as the original production with the hard plastic board. One day I may make a homemade version in my basement out of wood and other bits. Until then I'll still have fun with the whole family when we play.
