I love these hooks so much that when the dog ate them I had to find a way to replace the ones she damaged. I recommend these hooks!!

Knit Picks crochet hooks

I must have at least 100 crochet hooks of various brands and sizes, but the only ones I work with are my Knit Picks. They are smooth, comfortable, have a longer throat and hook that holds the yarn so you are less likely to drop stitches, and light weight. Good for those of us with arthritis. I have not found another that compares. I also find that I work much faster with these hooks. You might give them a try.....
