I love it when a product works like it’s advertised, which the 5 does. The best new feature is the zippered bag that is fixed to the intake. In the old system, a pebble or rock would stop the whole process. Now you can empty the bag without having to stop and start the machine. A second nice feature is the length of the intake and outflow tubes, which for me means not having to get the big PVC pieces in the back of the yard. If you are familiar with Tim the Toolman (aka Tim Allen) and his product line, I feel like I’ve gotten the Binford’s best and strongest. The 5 weighs a lot more than the original, but that is because the motors are much stronger. Overall, I give it two thumbs up.

We bought this to clean out the sand in the bottom of our pool. We live in west Texas and the dirt/sand is always blowing!! This vacuum works great I cleaned the bottom of our 24ft pool in about 20-30 min depending on how slow you go. Would highly recommend. And I’m not paid to say this!
