I have several cats and they all love stretching up to scratch as high as they can on the post. One of my cats is 10lbs or so, and he just reaches the top when stretching. They do like trying to climb it, which works with little cats, but the big guy knocks it over. My cats also like using the wooden base to spin themselves around the post. They're clearly having fun. Great purchase!
