One of the best!

Found Virgil’s dark roast a number of years ago through a coffee subscription service and it’s by far one of the best out there. Highly recommend it.

In my most recent review I forgot to mention Virgil’s. It’s my favorite for espresso. What I love about this dark roast is that it’s full bodied yet smooth and not bitter. Great Coffee! Robert Tanner

My favorite espresso blend ever

I'm sure there were over thirty espresso blends on the shelves at my local Whole Foods, but after trying a few I tried this one. I was looking for a dark roast to imitate those tiny amounts of syrupy rich espresso you get standing at a bar in Italy. Virgil's is dark roasted without tasting burnt, and it has caramel, chocolate, and milky notes that I absolutely love. I also like buying on the subscription plan because I know that the beans were roasted recently rather than sitting around in transit or on store shelves for months. No other beans that I've tried make such a satisfying espresso with my admittedly budget home equipment!
