First time cover cropper

Excellent germination and coverage, speaks to great quality seeds - sparrows loved the seeds so just bare that in mind when planting. Amount sent was exact amount needed as outlined - worked a treat! Using as a cover crop for my back garden vegetable beds for the first time (never cover cropped before) so I am anticipating some lesson learning in spring but I’m sure the topsoil will benefit greatly!

Last year the lawns in my neighbourhood, in the south-eastern part of Ontario, were destroyed be chinch bugs, grubs and a watering ban. I decided a full redo was required and searched out the grass varieties that could give me a good chance at success. I landed on rye and fescue, ordered some seeds from West Coast Seeds and started digging! I am blown away by the results!! I planted a 50-50 mix of their premium perennial rye and tall fescue turf type on May25th. The seeds were germinated and grass growing by June 3rd ... and it’s June 22nd and I’ve cut the grass twice!! I couldn’t be happier. These seeds made all the hard work worth it :)

Thick and quick growing. Seeded with this and micro clover and my yard is super green and lush. Started with some Calgary clay and some topsoil.
