Simpson Classic CL 2 Best Badger Shaving Brush (CL2B)

My third Simpson

I had to return the first one because of a shedding issue. WCS replaced it graciously under their warranty program. This classic performs as a Simpson should. ( I have the duke and the wee scot.). I’ve used it 4 times so far, so it’s not fully broken in, but it’s starting to bloom a bit. It lathers really well and has a nice backbone. The badger hair is soft with just enough scritch in it. This will go into my 20 plus rotation of shaving brushes

Second time is a charm

The first brush shed like crazy and was replaced by WCS and their great customer service headed up by Maria. The replacement lived up to the Simpson standard. I have 3 Simpson brushes and they are all great. This is referred to as the chubby 0.5. It’s smaller than the Chubbs but still provides a great shave. Just enough backbone and just enough scritch. It’s part of my rotation now

Excellent Brush

My first expensive brush and I love it! The badger smell was there but the combo of vinegar and overnight cream soak/stand dissipated that. A couple of shaves later with lemon and lime cream and the odor is completely gone. WAY more than worth that temporary inconvenience. It’s got a great stiffness to it in the application (both face and bowl) and yet still has a sweet softness to it. Highly recommended!
