This brush is a lather building beast! I've never been able to generate lather so quickly and effortlessly. And their best badger is pretty darn close to everyone else's silvertip.

Another Great Simpson Product

I’ve had my eye on “The Duke” for a while and decided to add it to my collection. I have three other Simpson brushes with which I have been absolutely delighted. My brush arrived very quickly and I immediately gave it a couple of washings with shampoo to get the “animal” smell out of it. It took a couple of lather cycles before I felt it was functioning properly. I have large hands and I found that the size is just fine and I don’t have difficulty hanging on to it while lathering. The overall size of the brush is great and it covers a decent area of real estate on my face. One notable difference is that the bristles are softer than my other brushes. It initially had some difficulty lathering the volume I expected. I’ve adjusted to it and it is lathering just great now. If you prefer a stiffer brush, you may want to consider one of the other Simpson options. Of the brushes I have, the Duke is the softest and I quite like it. I’d recommend the brush to anyone who appreciates old-school craftsmanship and history.
