Not fully planned for the Winston crib
We bought this conversion kit for our daughter’s Winston crib but it seems like we may have been the first to try it. The piece successfully replaced the front panel of the crib to make it a toddler bed, but there were no hardware components included for the top mounting holes on the side rails, leaving holes for my daughter to play with and get her fingers caught in. It also looks funky since it was a large pole that originally went into the top of the side rails and is now just empty. I’ve messaged the help team and was told that they reached out to their product support, but am still waiting for any kind of information for what can be done. My daughter loves the switch and it’s so cute being able to transform her crib, but this item isn’t fully planned out or developed yet for the Winston crib.

A+ Toddler Conversation Kit
Perfectly matching and seamless extension of the bed, my daughter delights in her bed and remains safe from falling, being a lively two-year-old sleeper. Overall, it’s attractive and crafted with non-toxic quilt materials. Ideal for calm infants with good balance and control. Not suitable for children with special needs — the metal's rigidity can be hazardous, potentially causing injuries or trapping infants who are learning to stand, especially when falling or holding onto the bars. We taped pool noodles on the top bars for safety, but caution was needed with the side bars for 6-12 months. During that period, her bed stayed in our room, and we remained vigilant, especially when she was awake. Never left her unattended awake during that time, as the bed isn’t designed for infants or toddlers. Birth to 6 months is great; 12 months+ is excellent. As a toddler bed, she enjoys her independence. If she wasn’t such a wild sleeper, we might have skipped the toddler kit because the bed’s low height makes falls safe. She feels secure, and it reassures us. I believe she’ll transition from the toddler kit to a full-size bed soon, probably skipping the daybed since she’s tall for her age.

Great to have!
We have loved our Abigail crib for almost 5 years now! Now using it for our second child, we wanted to use it for a toddler bed as well. I was hesitant that the new product of the toddler conversion kit might not match with our older crib. It matched perfectly! You wouldn’t know that they were bought 5 years apart! If you’re considering it, I highly recommend! Functional, cute, and great for growing!
