PILOT Custom 823 Fountain Pen Amber Brown Demonstrator Special Nib - FA, WA and more

Beautiful pen. I was very happy to be able to get a custom FM nib in the Custom 823. However, and this is not PenSachi’s fault, I was charged an $97.80 “tax/tariff” on the pen when it arrived in the good old USA. I will have to think twice about purchasing from Japan in the future. Its a shame…

A happy mistake

This is one of those instances where a mistake turns out to be for the best. I ordered my 823 Waverly in amber, although I went back and forth between that and the clear; what arrived was the clear version … and I’m so glad it did. I filled it with Tsuki-yo and it’s gorgeous. I think subconsciously it’s the one I really wanted. Maybe you employ a mind reader? LOL As for the pen, I have a Custom Heritage 912 with a Waverly nib which I love, so was curious what the larger 823 nib would be like in a Waverly. It does not disappoint. Incredibly smooth and comfortable, it gives me more the feeling of painting the words rather than writing. Absolutely no regrets. The pen was sent out promptly and arrived in excellent condition, well packaged. Would happily recommend PenSachi.
