Beautifully detailed dress
I admit I was intimidated by this pattern, but with the excellent instructions, it is certainly doable. The pleated bodice, fabric trim and the gigot sleeves all add up to a wonderful dress. Also the tips in the SWC & Friends Sleeves course were very helpful. Using a zigzag stitch for your first row of gathering stitches really helps keep the gathers even. Try it! You will love this dress,

Gigot Sleeve Dress 18” Doll Dress
Construction directions were very clear. I would suggest adding a Velcro strip as an a.ternate way to close the back. Decorative buttons easy to add. First time I have ever run out of thread making a doll dress. Ripped very little. You may want to suggest buying a spool of thread larger than 110 yards. Love the detail on bodice and sleeves and the very full skirt with ruffles.

Gigot sleeve dress 18 inch
I love this pattern. It was relatively easy, though I did find the sleeve plackets a bit challenging. Perfect fit and beautiful results. It sold in my Etsy shop minutes after I listed it.
