Carl's Bubbloid 4x4x5 V2

Unusable

I purchased both the 4x4x5 and the 5x5x4. Both popped after turning for a short time. I've reassembled them and adjusted the tension several times. However, I can't get past a scramble and a few turns before they pop again. The idea of the puzzle is nice, but the execution is so poor that this cube isn't usable. Also, several stickers were pealing off out of the box.

Beautiful dino variant with some flaws

Almost like the mosaic cube, this one has one side with an extra edge making the solve slightly more difficult. Comes with a pseudo-parity at the end, since some pieces are functionally equivalent. The turning is meh though, I can't seem to find the sweetspot of not-popping and easy turning. In the beginning it was too hard to turn, after I loosened it it started popping like crazy. I'm now at a state where turning is okay-ish, but it tends to catch a lot. Better than popping though, since it seems to be springless it needs to be pretty tight.

Fragile

Pieces breaking and popping after a few first turns. Poor turning quality and stickers falling off out of the box. Calvin's Puzzles are off of my list.👎
