IE Boost Cap For FSI, TSI, and 2.5L 5CYL Engines

It fills a need, but I pray it stays put.

In theory, this part should be a slam dunk. Unfortunately, due to ever so slight variances in the intake manifold quality control, it can either be easy to install or close to impossible. I got it on, but it took unreasonable amounts of force and if the light duty supplied clip doesn’t hang on, off it goes. We shall see if it stands the test of time and use, but it just doesn’t feel fully registered. I resisted the urge to just install a vacuum cap because I like fancy parts and I hope I don’t end up doing so after have spent quite a few bucks for this part. It is nicely made for sure, but positive retention remains to be seen. To be fair, I’m not knocking the part and my particular intake may have made this issue exaggerated, but it is what it is.

Well made except the brass nipple does not thread entirely into the black cap. I plan to take it to a machine shop to chase the threads.
