well, took me way, way longer than I expected. My cable lock nuts wouldn't turn by finger, I had no workshop gloves so had to turn about 1 32nd of a turn at a time with an open end spanner. Gosh. My fault though. The cables only just went on over the throttle ring with full maximum adjustment. To be honest i sanded down the circumference and filed and sanded a new groove. I think they should be reduced slightly in machining and will still do what they are meant to. Got there in the end but it was a mission.
