Humming along now

The instant I started with the new motor the sound, er…lack of sound was fantastic. The original motor ran several thousand cycles before needing replacement. This one makes the roaster seem new again!!

8 years of roasting, a strange repetitive clunking noise began. No, it was not the bean chamber or the gate flapping or missing rubber bumpers. We suspected the motor, so I ordered that, and replaced it quite easily. Thanks so much for the how-to guide and videos. Very Satisfied! But .... aha, I discovered a crack in the motor gear's plastic teeth. Argh. Clunk source identified. And the motor gear is out of stock. I used some super adhesive glue from my friend the furniture maker, reinstalled, and so far it is working ok. But I cannot wait to order 2 of those little gears! Hoping the cargo arrives soon for me!
