This is my first sashiko project and I found it really enjoyable. I suggest pinking the raw edges of the fabric as it does fray quite a bit.

love the packaging. students ran out of thread. this particular pattern may require 2 skeins of thread.

Excellent Beginner Pattern

This was my first sashiko pattern, after taking the Sashiko 101 class. It was a perfect amount of work, not complicated, and was easy to stitch with no knots, the way Claudia showed us. I love the dark navy color and using the bright Olympus thread on it. I recommend this pattern, espeically to those new to sashiko who want to get in the groove!
