Logistics Mistake Corrected in An Acceptable Manner

Purchased a 26" unfinished door with some options. Overall Murphy Door did a great job on design and manufacturing tolerances on this KIT. That said a couple of suggestions for future buyers. 1) consider buying it primed not raw - the first coat of oil base took a LOT of time and 2nd coat required anyway. 2) Consider buying it assembled, I did OK but again, a lot of time. 3) Instructions esp regarding trim pieces on OUTSWING doors should be reviewed by Murphy. The 1/2" overlap on face recommended was IMO and my installer insufficient and with more overlap the Shaker Door on the hinge side would not open. We remedied by a 45 deg shave of the hinge side. 3) The Hidden Book latch was too tight against the face trim remedied using a paint stir stick stirrer. Overall hat's off to Murphy and great product and very happy. Tom Nix
