My Florida carpenter ants first home from the test tube was the small hydro nest. Since then I expanded with some old formicariums I had but they are almost in need of more space and I have the large hydro nest ready and waiting. They love the small hydro nest so much they didn’t abandon it when I added a larger nest. Instead have been using the small hydro nest as the main nursery.
