Shredded Latex & Kapok Pillow

Very expensive pillows. I was excited and had high expectations. I usually order latex, but these had an especially strong smell. I put mine aside to air out. 5 months later, tried it out. Still a strong smell. Too firm. I saw that other reviewers removed some of the filling. I took off the cover, intending to remove some filling, and discovered that the cover was a lot smaller than the pillow, by a couple of inches all around. Now the pillow was soft and floppy. I put a standard size silk zippered pillowcase on it and it held the pillow together just right. What's weird to me is that the "standard" size cushioned cotton zippered pillowcase it comes with is too small for the pillow, which makes it too firm. My standard size silk case is a normal size for a standard pillow. I don't know why they'd make their cover so small, which affects the feel of the the pillow so drastically. I do want to like it, and since I paid a lot of money for it, I'll give it more time.

Disappointed, Not as soft / cushiony /fluffy as I expected , does not have the softness/ bounce back as my Plush Beds latex mattress topper . I would not buy another one of these pillows. At least 1-2 times a night I have to fluff up this pillow . I am wondering if I should have bought the solid latex pillow.

Not at all comfortable for me!
